Senior Web Developer PHP/SQL



Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Senior Web Developer who has extensive experience with PHP and MySQL/MariaDB in a Linux environment.

At peak we handle 200+ connections/second, in this environment mistakes are costly and time savings for code improvement are huge. After initial training of our systems we are looking to set you free and have you architect and develop projects that we don't have enough manpower to tackle. You should be comfortable testing and re-testing your code to make sure no bugs make it into production, working with others, and training the sales people in the company on how to use your new creations.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, plan, write, and test new functionality based on guidelines from sales and management. 90% of the code will be in PHP with SQL, 10% will be with jquery/html/css.
  • Improve existing code base, based on changing business requirements.
  • Integrate new vendors and clients via their API systems.
  • Create API systems for third parties to plug into our system, keeping security in mind, and create human readable documentation on how to use your new API.
  • Plug in functionality for designer created websites, jQuery with AJAX, CSS/HTML changes, write back end code to support said AJAX requests, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year university is preferred but not required.
  • At least 7 years of experience with PHP + MariaDB/MySQL, 10+ years preferred.
  • A solid understanding of MariaDb/MySQL is preferred. Concurrency issues, reusing open sockets, optimizing queries for speed beyond indexes, etc.
  • A passion for code. You have dreams in PHP.
  • OOP programming - comfortable with classes, building code that can be modular and reused.
  • Knowledge of jQuery, take designer created website and plug in ajax requests, modals, validation, div/form navigation, plug ins such as charts, progress bars, etc. Ability to reverse engineer jquery plugs in and modify them to your needs.
  • Ability to interface with non-IT staff, gather task requirements, then build an interface/functionality to meet their needs and train them on it.
  • Comfortable reading API documentation from third parties and troubleshooting and integrating into various systems.
  • Self Starter - someone comfortable troubleshooting tasks on their own but will also ask questions if something is out of place or an opportunity presents itself to improve a system or workflow.

Director of Client Services



Job Description:

We are seeking an Director of Client Services who will be responsible for our Client Services department - including: prospecting, managing, and growing existing and new Lead Buyer accounts for Round Sky. Your job will be to manage and grow existing Lead Buyer accounts and bring on new lead buyer accounts via trade shows attendance, actively posting on networking sites like Linkedin, finding potential clients from search engines like Google, networking via industry organizations, contacting our industry trade group members, etc. You will manage the other Client Service Managers within the company, and own this department.

Whether negotiating new lead acquisition strategies with existing Lead Buyers or prospecting for new Lead Buyers, your job will be to develop long term relationships with Lead Buyers and help them grow their business by acquiring leads from Round Sky.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing new partnerships and lead buying opportunities.
  • 40% of your time will be spent on managing existing clients, 50% on prospecting for new clients, 10% internal company management
  • Evaluating existing customer deals with an eye for additional opportunities to grow business.
  • You should be comfortable cold calling C-level executives at companies that are potential lead buyers and staying persistent throughout the process to close the deal.
  • Developing strong relationships with partners to continually grow business.
  • Travel 3-4 times per year to industry trade shows to meet with clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year university.
  • At least 7 years of B2B sales experience.
  • A passion for sales and closing the deal.
  • Excellent knowledge of Office suite tools: Excel, Outlook, Word.
  • A self-starter who takes pride in their work and has the drive to succeed.
  • Experience with online publisher programs, or online sales.
  • Candidate needs to be skilled in talking on the phone, Skype, and email with clients.
  • Management experience is preferred.
