Director of Business Development


Job Description:

We are seeking an Director of Business Development who will be a senior member in our Business Development department. This person must have 7 or more years experience in the online financial lead generation vertical with a proven track record of success. Your duties will include, but not be limited to: prospecting, managing, and growing existing and new Publisher/Affiliate/Lead Seller accounts for Round Sky. Your responsibilities will include managing and grow existing accounts and bring on new accounts via trade shows attendance, actively posting on networking sites such as Linkedin, finding potential clients from search engines, networking via industry organizations, etc.

Whether negotiating new lead acquisition strategies with existing accounts or prospecting for new accounts, your job will be to develop long term relationships and help your accounts grow their business by working with Round Sky.

Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing new partnerships and lead buying opportunities.
  • 40% of your time will be spent on managing existing clients, 50% on prospecting for new clients, 10% internal company management.
  • Evaluating existing customer deals with an eye for additional opportunities to grow business.
  • You should be comfortable cold calling C-level executives at companies that are potential partners and staying persistent throughout the process to close the deal because there is significant upside for them to work with Round Sky.
  • Developing strong relationships with partners to continually grow business.
  • Travel 3-4 times per year to industry trade shows to meet with clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4 year university or extensive experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales.
  • A passion for sales and closing the deal.
  • Excellent knowledge of Office suite tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) or G-Suite apps (Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
  • A self-starter who takes pride in their work and has the drive to succeed.
  • A drive to help clients grow their business and communicate with them regularly via the phone, Skype, and email.

Preferred skills but not required:

  • Previous experience working at an online lead generation company or an online affiliate network.
